A Picture of Time

i see the past as gray-brown

the present is all green to me

the future glitters in gold
and in pure white

we all look at the picture inside
but which color dominates?

I Was Jagged

i was sharp-edged;
rough and pointed -
formed in hell's fire,
broken under pressure.

time and others flow,
softening all my edges;
smoothing my facades,
as i become rounded.

once a fragmentation of fractures;
but gradually, it will come about,
none'll see that i was once broken.

may i be sluiced by,
the passing of days;
leaving behind gold.

an earthen vessel,
from which i take
